When you take works of various media, created by artists of various age groups, currently living in various countries in the world with only one requirement "make it small" then you have a Mixed Bag. "Mixed Bag" is the first exhibition created by BOXOUT, a project of GETTHRU.org based in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. Since the exhibitions of its permanent collection in Germany, US Virgin Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago, GETTHRU has launched this newest project with the hope of making international works of art more accessible to collectors around the world. This exhibition showcases the works of over 40 prominent contemporary artists from around the globe from prominent emerging artist to that of senior artists. The works vary from experimental contemporary works to conceptual and pop art. The exhibition provides access to various artworks from countries such as France, UK, Germany, Poland, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, USA, Iran, and many more working in mediums such as paint, mixed media, collage, drawings, photography and embroidery. It is a unique group exhibition of small works of contemporary art.

59RIVOLI HOSTS FIRST INTERNATIONAL BOXOUT ART EXHIBITION IN PARIS
59Rivoli Gallery of Paris France is pleased to host the first BoxOut international fundraising exhibition for the Caribbean-based non-profit organization GETTHRU.org. The exhibition titled "Mixed Bag" will run from April 28th- May 8th, 2016 with an opening reception on April 28th from 5pm-10pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will feature a wide variety of international small contemporary art works including paintings, drawings, mix media, photography, embroidery and digital pieces. This is a fundraising exhibition to support the ongoing efforts of GETTHRU.org to continue to exhibit its permanent collection of contemporary art in developing countries throughout the Caribbean, Africa and South America.
Curated by Artist GA Gardner of Trinidad and Tobago, contributors include an international group of over 40 visual artists: Sarah Knights, Trinidad and Tobago; Judith Ganz, Germany; Serge Game, the Netherlands; Beata Obst, Poland; Lorenzo Valverde, Spain; Behzad Mahmoudpour, Iran and David Ibata, United States amongst other countries.
According to GA Gardner, this newest fundraising project is being launched with the hope of making international small works of contemporary art more accessible to collectors around the world, while creating a financial support system to promote and educate about the genre.

The main project of GETTHRU.org is Thru Contemporary Arts, a global collaboration of artists, writers and curators which houses and maintains a juried collection of contemporary art. Based in Trinidad and Tobago, GETHRU.org focuses on exhibition, education and the preservation of contemporary arts. The organization acquires and promotes the artworks of prominent contemporary artists.
